What to do Today?

Well Football Is On. So let's do that shall we?

Today brings two vastly different matches. First from the always entertaining Bundesliga comes Vfb Stuttgart away to Vfl Wolfsburg. This match should be absolutley fantastic, with the third place finishers from last season Stuttgart butting up against last years shock of Europe, the Bundesliga champions Wolfsburg. Stuttgart should feature both Alex Hleb, notable for fleeing Arsenal to Barcelona, now on loan from the Spanish giants, and Mad Jens Lehman, notable for being crazy. Wolfsburg feature Grafite (pictured), a 30 year old Brazilian striker who took the league by the haunches last season. scoring 28 goals in 25 games last season. Stuttgart have a tall task in front of them today at the Volkswagen Arena, last season Wolfsburg went undefeated in their home stadium with a record of 16 wins and one draw. This game comes your way at 1:30 and is available on GOL TV. Online streams can be found at http://www.atdhe.net/ and myp2p.eu

And now for something completely different. Is attractive football repellent to you? Do you love the ball being hoofed up and down the field? Then the Coca-Cola Championship is for you! Alright, that was probably slightly unfair, but the Colaship is certainly grittier than the Bundesliga. To come out on top in England's 2nd tier, teams must battle through 46 matches.
Today's season opener features newly relegated Middlesborough at home to Sheffield United. The Blades came oh so close to playing top flight football this season, losing out to Burnley in the play off final at Wembley. I would have put up a picture of a Boro striker to go alongside the picture of Grafite, but all of them seem to be running as far from Boro as they can. Mido went back to Egypt last week and Tuncay announced today that he wishes to leave as well. We'll see how attendance is at the Riverside Stadium today, to call it sparse last year is probably too generous. At least those empty red seats looked nice. This one kicks off at 2:00 Central and appears to be exclusively online in the US.
